Since graduation of the Translation Studies Department of the Ventspils University College back in 2001, I have been taking on almost all challenges presented by the translation market: translation, revision, proofreading, editing – with or without various CAT tools – compiling glossaries, transcribing and translating audio recordings, performing quality assurance procedures, linguistic testing of localized software, simultaneous conference interpreting, consecutive interpreting, chuchotage (whispered interpreting), organizing and managing large translation and localization projects, etc.

During more than 10 years in this field I have found that one of the barriers for potential clients to assign jobs relating to Eastern European languages is lack of visibility on the side of the potential contractor.

Clients that are not entirely happy with their current provider either prefer to stick to existing providers out of fear of making things worse or just do not know how to find and select a different LSP in the Eastern Europe, and Latvia in particular, who would better match their needs in terms of quality, accuracy and reliability.

Well, my site is intended to address this issue and provide something that at least would be a different option to your current ones. It is then for you to decide.
